On September 11, 2018 we received the official approval of the Helmholtz Association that we will become the 19th Helmholtz Center as of January 1, 2019 (then named “Helmholtz Center for Information Security (CISPA)”). The decision to accept us was taken by all existing Helmholtz Centers in the Mitgliederversammlung of the HGF on September 11, 2018.
This was the final step on our long journey – from the initial announcement in February 2017, to the founding of the intermediate center (i.G.) in December 2017, to the final acceptance into the HGF as a full-fledged Helmholtz Center now.
