CISPA Researcher receives SRL Graduate Fellowship
Johannes Krupp, PhD student with Prof. Dr. Christian Rossow, was awarded the Symantec Research Labs Graduate Fellowship. This is the first time after 5 years that the award, endowed with 20,000$, is conferred to a researcher in Europe. Johannes is the very first reseacher at a German institution to receive the award. Symantec wants to promote outstanding PhD students and fund innovative research with real-world value in one of Symantec’s area of expertise. In addition to the financial remuneration, every awardee may participate in a paid internship at Symantec working either in cooperation with one of the Symantec Research Labs or with one of symantec’s groups. Johannes’ research at the Helmholtz Center for Information Security focuses threat detection and defenses.
