A new cooperation with top research institutes in China

The CISPA - Helmholtz Center for Information Security signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two Chinese research institutions — the Institute of Software (Chinese Academy of Sciences, ISCAS) in Beijing, and the Institute of Intelligent Software in Guangzhou. Saarland University, Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Max Planck Institute for Software are cooperation partners too.

The goal is, among other things, to strengthen exchange of faculty members and staff, to promote joint research projects, conferences, seminars, and symposia. In a first joint project with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, CISPA Faculty Andreas Zeller is investigating novel methods to detect abnormal and malicious behavior in mobile apps.

The Institute of Software is a research base in Beijing that focuses on the research and development on theories of computer science and leading edge technologies of software. The Institute of Intelligent Software is located in the Nansha district of Guangzhou, jointly established by Nansha and ISCAS, aiming to establish a research and development platform for dependable smart software.
