Keynote by Adi Shamir
The keynote will be held by Adi Shamir on Tuesday, March 22.
In this talk Adi Shamir will consider the security aspects of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, which bridge the physical and virtual worlds, and propose a new taxonomy of attacks which classifies them into four broad categories. The most interesting category (called functionality extension attacks) uses the designed functionality of the IoT device to achieve a totally different effect. He will describe several new attacks of this type, and conclude with some predictions about future trends in this rapidly evolving field.
