CISPA is tightly embedded in the educational programs of the computer science (CS) department at Saarland University and its partner institutions, which are internationally recognized as an elite training ground for young CS researchers.
Starting from the winter term 2014, CISPA and its partner institutions will offer a new Bachelor study program in cyber security (Bachelor Cybersicherheit). It complements the existing CS Bachelor programs at Saarland University and offers students a scientific degree that is particularly tailored to the growing needs of both IT security research and industry. Security-inclined students that intend to enter a Master program at Saarland University are offered two choices: the international EIT ICT Labs Master in Security & Privacy, or the general CS Master program at Saarland University. The EIT ICT Labs Master program in Security & Privacy is a joint endeavor with the EIT ICT Labs.
The qualification of highly talented students and young researchers in IT security and privacy is not only a personal concern of each individual CISPA faculty, but it constitutes an integral part of CISPA’s overall development strategy. We aim at recruiting, educating and guiding future researchers at all stages of their scientific career, starting with the undergraduate studies, continuing with the postgraduate master or PhD studies, and leading up to the promotion of young researchers at the postdoc or junior research group leader level. Our faculty regularly offer open positions at PhD student and postdoc level. For more information please visit the individual group’s website you would like to work with or send an informal inquiry to jobs(aeht)cispa.saarland
In addition to the institutions that participate directly in CISPA (UdS, MPI-INF, MPI-SWS, DFKI), we closely cooperate with a number of excellent research institutions and networks.
